Meet Annie Bruno, founder of Skin Charm!
Annie is a board-certified, aesthetics nursing specialist that has been working in the aesthetics industry for over ten years. Annie has extensive experience in injectable medications (neuromodulators, dermal fillers, kybella, and prp), facial plastic reconstructive surgery, lasers, microneedling, chemical peels, as well as skin care products + skin health. Annie has been recognized nationally as one of the “RealSelf.com Top 100 Most-Loved Nurse Injectors” in the country, and was nominated by AZ Foothills Magazine as the “Best Botox Injector”. Annie also obtained her CANS certification, which gives her a nationally-recognized board-certification as an aesthetics nursing specialist-the highest level of training certification to be obtained as an aesthetics nurse injector in her field. Neuromodulator Injections
Botox Cosmetic + Dysport (botulinum toxin) are the most well-known, non-invasive, FDA- approved injectable treatments that help to treat and prevent fine lines that form around the eyes, as well as in between and above the eyebrows. These medications are also commonly used off-label, but are considered “standard of care” in other regions of the face. If a neuromodulator treatment option is not best-suited for you, you may also consider dermal filler injections, which can be recommended to you in a customized treatment plan by your provider.
Dermal Filler Injections
As we age, we begin to lose facial volume, the facial fat pads shrink and descend downward, and our bone density is weakened. As a result of the changes our body endures, our skin can begin to display evidence of sagging, as well as unwanted shadows, folds, and grooves. Dermal fillers can also be used as a means to softly augment and/or volumize and enhance the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (laugh lines), under the eye area, and around the mouth, chin, and jawline areas.
Kybella
Deoxycholic acid (Kybella) is a naturally-occurring chemical in the body that is responsible for breaking down and absorbing fats. When Kybella is injected into submental fat, (“double chin”) located below the chin, it permanently destroys the fat and results in a more-defined jawline. Kybella is a non-invasive, injectable procedure that is typically best-suited for patients that are between the ages of 20-45, as it is not a replacement for face and neck-lift surgeries.
